Currently have :- Learn Self Defense, Get fit & stay in shape, Make Friends, Relieve Stress, Develop Confidence, Enhance Concentration, and Build Self Esteem. - these will change with the appropriate imagery.
Image one - I’ve included the blog style that the news/results page will include. Problem is, i’m still trying to get the basics of wordpress down in the site and it’s very very hard for my small brain to comprehend. Any help on that side will benefit me greatly.
Image two - the inclusion of the footer. Basic for searching and google.
Image three - Basic loayout of the page minus the live twitter feed. Will need to create a twitter account for the Ken Yu Kai assocation for this to work.
This animator is Edd Gould, known on Youtube and Newgrounds as ‘EddsWorld’.
I found out this morning that he had been battling cancer for the past 6 years. Although, he had beat it before - his Leukemia came back with a vengance. Sadly, he passed away on the morning of the 25th.
I’m saddened by this because, I know I don’t know him personally, but I’m just sad that the abundance of animations he made will be no more - rest assured, the rest of his videos will go up and up in views and ratings.
As his friends stated in the last few minutes of the video…
“EddsWorld will keep on spinning” :)
1st image - Finalisation of logo. Not sure to completely replicate the badge - but I think it’s best to to enforce the brand as a whole.
2nd Image - Initial beginnings on layout - Trying to test colour and space awareness as a whole. I dislike the plain background but will work on that later - right now, the emphasis is on space and proportion.
3rd Image - experimenting with the colour scheme from the given badge design. It, to me, gives a sense of pride for the UK. Ken Yu Kai is based in Britain, so it’s a good connection.
4th Image - Flowing from the previous image, I’m trying to implement subtly within other ares of the page. Such as icons, borders and headers/footers. The reason for this is that karate is for self defense - so i believe being subtle is key here.
